EMPLOYMENT LAW FOR EMPLOYERS

Worklaw specialises in giving help and advice and training to employers on all aspects of UK employment law. This includes;

Below is a list of just some of the well known companies our employment law consultants have acted for in employment tribunal cases (usually on behalf of insurers);

  • Eddie Stobarts (haulage firm)
  • Essex Business Link
  • Greene King (brewery chain)
  • Harvey Nichols (department store)
  • Hilton Hotels
  • Ofsted (Education body)
  • The Design Museum
  • Threshers (wine merchants)
  • Woolworths
  • PizzaHut (franchise)
  • BurgerKing (franchises)

Our clients get the benefit of our employment law consultants' experiences of working for large clients and translating this experience into the requirements of SMEs.

Worklaw consultants have represented employers in every employment tribunal in England and Wales and in the Employment Appeal Tribunal, plus employment tribunals in Edinburgh and Glasgow. In 2014, Robin Hawker, our senior consultant was asked by the Ministry of Justice to advise on the format of the revised employment tribunal response form (form ET3).

Worklaw is comprised of a group of self-employed independent Employment Law Consultants and Human Resource Managers who all work from home. This means that Worklaw can charge much less than its competitors for the same level of service to clients as we do not have office overheads and expensive support staff.

Worklaw also provides Human Resource Management, including;

  • Human Resource Management on short term retainers
  • employment law training and seminars
  • drafting employment contracts, staff handbooks, etc.
  • employment tribunal representation for a fixed fee.
A consultant is allocated to you and you deal with that consultant on a 'one to one' basis and your agreement is with that consultant.

However, each consultant is backed up by the rest of the Worklaw team in the event of holidays or clashing employment tribunal hearing dates etc. If your allocated consultant is not available for any reason another consultant will take his or her place to cover your needs.

Therefore, out clients get the best of both worlds: the benefits of a medium sized company without paying for the office overheads.
